Susan Martin is a yoga teacher, Reiki master/teacher and master Esthetician. Her Spa services are safe for those TTC, pregnant and breastfeeding. Susan offers a variety of yoga classes such as Prenatal, Baby and Me, Women’s Wellness, Zen Mama, Family Yoga and Peaceful Moon. Susan also offers holistic wellness consultations combining the knowledge of health coaching, ayurveda, yoga, skincare, energy work and mindfulness practices. She offers group classes covering various topics to help you thrive during pregnancy and beyond.
Yoga Class Descriptions
Peaceful Moon Yoga
A wonderfully restorative practice honoring the Divine Feminine that helps harmonize hormanize, cycle and fertility. This class focuses on hip opening, calming the nervous system, and balancing the energetic body by using the knowledge of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine & the Chakra system. Practice will incorporate gentle movement, yin poses and meditation to elicit holistic wellness. We will cultivate a sense of peace through mindfulness and connecting to our lunar energy.
Prenatal Yoga
This class will include just the right amount of invigoration and rejuvenation. We will challenge our minds & bodies to tap into not only our physical strength but also our inner willpower. Practice will incorporate mindfulness & movement techniques to help us prepare for the wonders of birth & baby's arrival earthside too. There will be elements of mantra, pranayama, meditation and active as well as restorative postures to encourage relaxation & balance.
Mama Zen Yoga
This class will offer just the right amount of strengthening and relaxation. We will focus on stabilizing the core and pelvic floor as well as releasing tension in the neck/shoulders. Inversions & twists will be included because they can help balance hormonal systems and tone the uterus. Practice will also incorporate poses to release tight muscles and conclude with restorative postures.
Women’s Wellness
This class will offer just the right amount of strengthening and rejuvenation. We will focus on balancing the energetic body as well as the physical body by using the knowledge of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Chakra system. Each practice will be different depending on the season, dominant element and current lunar events. Classes will be a blend of restorative and active postures determined by the collective energy. We will build a sense of ease and tranquility through mindfulness.
Baby and Me
This class will offer the right amount of play & mindfulness. We will focus on stabilization & releasing tension. Some poses will include mama & baby while others will be just for mama as baby watches/sleeps. Practice will conclude with stretching & restorative postures. Our time together will be a wonderful bonding experience with baby while also offering mama some much needed self-care.
Family Yoga
This class will include just the right amount of fun and relaxation. We will have dance time, story-time, and act out silly animal shapes & scenes from nature. Practice will incorporate gentle movement and easy breathwork exercises guided by our journey through storytelling. Let's laugh together as we embark on our yoga adventure! Two different classes depending on age.
Yoga Puncture
Join us for a blissful evening of Yoga Nidra, a deeply restorative practice that helps to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Susan will guide through a series of visualization exercises to help calm the mind and relax the body.
To deepen the practice, each participant will receive a simple acupuncture treatment from Isabel to further enhance their relaxation and well-being. With acupuncturist, Isabel Hulkower. These treatments work synchronistically with the Nidra, helping calm the nervous system and allowing a more embodied experience.
