Therapeutic Group Reflections

This year we started hosting two therapeutic groups.  One for first-time moms and the other for moms with several young children at home.   They have been everything we hoped for.

The first few years of motherhood bring a lot of emotions…so much joy and love but also doubts and questions.  Changes in relationships and careers.  Discovering who you are as a mother.  Being in community can help you feel more resilient.  Having others to lean on that are going through the same phase of life as you is invaluable.

Our therapeutic group creates space for each woman to share what is going on in her life, hear what others are experiencing, bond over shared struggles but also triumphs.   Encouraging one another and gaining tools that give you confidence as a mom.

Our first-time mom group is for anyone that has 1 child under the age of five. So whether you have a 3m old or a 3 year old, these groups are for you.   For those with several young kids, you could have a baby, a 2 year old and a 6 year old, or any combination of young children and you are in the thick of it!

Here are just a few of the sentiments that some of our first groups of women shared with us.

“When I saw Caroline post about the therapeutic group I instantly knew I wanted to sign up. Which was odd for someone who has never been open to therapy. I am so glad I did. I met awesome other moms who just truly get what you’re going through. It’s not your traditional therapy experience, it’s more like an hour and 15 minute retreat. I would highly recommend to all mommas. Caroline and Dylan are a great combination and truly make you feel heard and valued.” - Kelsie

“As much as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to support a mother, and participating in this group felt like having a tiny little village of women living through the same phase of life. It was an empowering reminder to hear the stories, hardships, and celebrations of other mothers that we are not experiencing motherhood in a vacuum. Dylan was gentle and encouraging in guiding the discussions, and Caroline provides experienced testimony that is nurturing and inspiring. I would continue to meet with this group every month if it were an option. Thank you, once again, to the Body, Birth, and Baby Center for an amazing offering.” -Paige O.

“I signed up for the Mom’s of Multiples Therapy Group because I felt like everything was weighing so heavy on me at home, and I knew I wasn’t handling emotions well. There was a lot of anger in general at home from all members of our family. After just 4 sessions, I felt more connected to myself, more in tune with my emotions, and more comfortable talking about what I was feeling in the moment. Our home is so much calmer. I feel more in control, which makes the rest of my family feel more in control.” - AH

These groups are one-of-a-kind offering that will bring you so much support, rejuvenation and community.  Join us!
